Hyundai power installed onboard Danish dredger LAPIS

REFERENCE

New installation of a PHD06 genset oboard a Danish hard working hopper and suction dredger.

The vessel

Built in 1968, LAPIS is a Danish hopper and suction dredger operating primarily in Danish waters and around the Øresund region. At roughly 57–66 metres in length and 8.7 metres wide, the vessel is designed for dredging operations where material is suctioned from the seabed and transported in the vessel’s hopper.

As a working vessel, LAPIS needs reliable onboard power to support its equipment and operations, both while dredging and when transporting dredged material.

Our role

Power House supplied a PHD06 marine genset, powered by a Hyundai DL06 engine, to provide dependable auxiliary power onboard LAPIS.

The Hyundai DL06 is a compact and proven marine diesel engine, making it a suitable choice for a vessel where reliable performance and efficient use of onboard space are important.

The result

With the new PHD06 genset installed onboard, LAPIS has a reliable source of auxiliary power to support its dredging operations and everyday onboard systems.

Our commitment never ends

It’s always a good day for exchanging knowledge! We are more than happy to share our expertise on site in different projects. An example of that is when we visited Tern Vik to train the ship machinists in maintenance of Volvo Penta gensets.
